Fanger's WinterSpirit EggNog

Being a WinterSpirit, as the Season's hit, I usually hang up the Howl-O-Ween Cauldron and pull out the old ACME Insta-EggNog Crock 3000 for the Holidays.

Since most can't afford the model, let alone locate it, I conjured up a recipe similar from a cookbook:

And the cool thing about this, it only takes about 5 minutes to make.

Required Ingredients:

1/2 gallon cold milk, divided
1 package (3.4 ounces) instant French vanilla pudding mix
1/4 cup sugar (or Splendora, or other substitute for
diabetics)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Utensils:

Large Bowl
Whisk

In a large bowl, whisk 3/4 cup of milk and pudding mix until smooth. Whisk in the sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir in the remaining milk.

Now I usually like to experiment, spice up the EggNog with bits of peppermint, or chocolate, depending on your mood. I normally stick with using mints to obtain a proper Wintry atmosphere. But you can try what you like, but if you do, you might want to pour a little in another bowl. So if it doesn't come out right, you're not left with a massive culinary disaster.

Refrigerate until serving. It yields about 16 servings (2 quarts).

And enjoy, unless you have a crazy cousin who like adding liquor to everything then prepare him a special bowl and demonstrate the dangers of Flaming Nog..

Oh, well, Happy Holidays!
